Hi, my name is Ellery.

I am a

sustainable creative

located in Southern California.

It all started on a tiny island in the middle of the pacific ocean…

I was born on Guam to a former Miss Guam Universe and a leather-wearing heavy metal drummer, and raised as the eldest of 5 eclectic dingbats. From a very young age, it was evident that creativity, a deep interest in nature, and a strange connection to the spiritual would follow me everywhere I went. From imagining I was the Chamoru Steve Irwin, to singing and dancing to Maroon 5 using a dead mic, to writing letters to God in crayon, the seeds of what make me who I am had already germinated.

I eventually went on to study music on the mainland, jumping between the vast spaces of California to the slow living of Guam. After I got my bachelor’s degree in music with a Commercial Music concentration, I felt like God was calling me to remain in California. Since then, doors have opened and I am now an upcoming artist with a deep respect and consciousness for the world and for faith.

But how do all these things connect? I break it down like so:

  1. God made me, and He made me creative.

  2. God made me with a diverse ethnic background, and I feel that multiple areas of my life, especially my identity and my art, embody the idea of being mixed or of being a collage of unique pieces.

  3. God made the world and told mankind to take care of it .

  4. I can use my art to talk about the world.

My hope and goal is to share my music, art, and thoughts with you in hopes that you can feel that the world isn’t so big, and while life is a mixed bag in and of itself, it ultimately creates a beautiful thing.

Si Yu’us Ma’ase ❣
